Eric D. Seilhamer Jr., DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Eric Seilhamer is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to children, adolescents, and families. With a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Texas Christian University, he brings a strong clinical foundation and a patient-centered approach to mental health treatment.
Seilhamer specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for patients ages 6–18. He has extensive experience treating a wide range of conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders. His approach emphasizes individualized care plans that integrate both therapeutic and pharmacologic strategies to support long-term wellness.
Throughout his career, Eric Seilhamer has worked across diverse clinical settings, including outpatient psychiatry, intensive outpatient programs (IOP/PHP), and inpatient behavioral health. He currently provides telepsychiatry services, improving access to high-quality mental health care for families across Texas. His background also includes service as a civilian Registered Nurse with the Department of Defense, where he cared for active-duty military members in acute psychiatric settings and contributed to interdisciplinary treatment teams.
Eric Seilhamer is known for his ability to build strong, trusting relationships with patients and families. He takes a collaborative and holistic approach, considering each patient’s emotional, social, cultural, and developmental needs. In addition to clinical care, he actively supports school accommodations such as 504 plans and IEP recommendations when appropriate.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
