Delayna Choat, LMFT
Delayna Choat is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been counseling since 2021. She earned her bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies in 2017 from the University of North Texas. She completed her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amberton University in 2020.
Delayna is passionate about helping people discover the best versions of themselves and creating a safe place for lasting change. She sees clients 16+, couples/relationship work, families and parenting. She works with people to dive more deeply into the origins of who they are and how life and relationships have shaped them. Based on the belief that when someone looks deeper into their story, they can get a better understanding of how they have learned to navigate connection, emotions, conflict, boundaries, and relational needs. Delayna works with clients to organize and understand what has shaped them so they can reclaim their power to heal old patterns and find new ways to be more their authentic selves. Delayna joins hands with people when they find themselves stuck within a pattern and ways of being that don’t get them what they need or no longer serve them in a healthy way. As an IFS - informed therapist, she values the interconnectedness of all aspects of life; social, emotional, relational, and spiritual. Delayna believes that life was never meant to be walked alone and considers it an honored to walk this journey with you.
When Delayna is not in the office, she enjoys time with her family and friends. She enjoys chasing her daughter around, being in the sunshine, having a book to read in her hand and time spent at church. She loves to connect, help, and offer hope to people around her!
