Anna Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and has been counseling since 2019. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Child Studies from Louisiana Tech University in 2014 and a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2019.

Over the years, Anna Kate has gained experience working with people of all ages. She has worked with individuals and in groups through various opportunities including Kanakuk Kamps, youth ministry, children’s ministry, nannying, and now being a counselor and mother. Working and volunteering in ministry settings has been an amazing avenue to learn more about herself, others, and what it looks like to support people in highs and lows. Beyond working with people in ministry settings, her counseling experience thus far has allowed her to gain exposure to those who are enduring effects of childhood sexual abuse, trauma, drug and alcohol addictions, postpartum depression, self-esteem and identity issues, abandonment, and parent-child relationship issues.

Anna Kate is most passionate about working with older teens, college age students, and young adults. As a mother of young kids herself, she understands the challenges and sacrificial work that come with mothering, and loves to work with mothers who are struggling with postpartum depression or anxiety.

Relationships are important to her, and are a big part of what she believes impact mental and spiritual wellbeing.  Her passion is to build a meaningful relationship with you while creating a safe place for you to gain insight, understand yourself better, know your worth, and work through difficult feelings associated with shame, guilt, depression, or anxiety. Her desire is to glorify God in all that she does. She believes He is the One who continuously gives grace, loves unconditionally, and is our ultimate healer.
