Alexis Beebe, MA, LPC

Alexis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor and has been counseling since 2019. She earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Communications from Cleveland State University in 2016 and a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2019. She is currently a PhD student studying Counselor Education and Supervision at Denver Seminary. She has had opportunities both to counsel individuals and to facilitate groups in a number of settings including inpatient treatment facilities, government agencies, higher education and private practice. Her diverse professional experience has equipped her to help clients with a variety of issues and backgrounds.

No matter the setting, Alexis’ philosophy for counseling remains the same-- to help others achieve mental health and wellness and lead lives of health, joy and fulfillment. She believes that trust, empathy and authenticity are the foundation on which the therapeutic relationship and good therapy are built. Alexis believes that therapy is not one-size-fits-all and tailors her sessions to the individual needs and experiences of her clients. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Narrative Therapy, which empowers her clients to rewrite the narrative of their life story. Alexis is passionate about helping others to work through issues surrounding depression, anxiety, shame, substance abuse and addiction, relationships, life transition and crises of faith. Her desire is to help her clients become empowered to work through life’s challenges, break cycles of dysfunction, and better understand their inherent worth. Alexis believes that God is the ultimate healer and that true unconditional love, grace, meaning and worth are ultimately found in Him. Her deepest desire is to glorify Christ in all that she does.

When Alexis is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends. She enjoys time spent at church, hosting and organizing. She especially enjoys time being creative in the kitchen and feeding her loved ones.
